FRP Cable Tray

FRP — fiberglass reinforced plastic — cable tray is the answer where the environment itself is the problem: chemical plants, wastewater treatment and corrosive process areas where any metal tray is on a countdown. The tray is molded from unsaturated polyester resin reinforced with alkali-free glass fiber, so there is no metal in it to corrode — and as an electrical insulator it does not conduct, does not spark and does not shield signals.

Configure your variant

Pick a style, material and finish — the matching model rows highlight below, and your selection is written into the inquiry form at the bottom of the page (you can still edit it there).

Why buyers specify it

  • Nothing to rust: the tray body is glass fiber in cured polyester resin — chemical vapors, washdowns and wastewater atmospheres attack coatings and metal, not this material
  • Electrically insulating by nature: no conductivity, no earthing path through the tray, and no interference shielding of the cables it carries
  • Flame-retardant grade available: the compound accepts flame-retardant additives at production for projects that specify them
  • Light in the hand and kind to installers: molded lengths are easy to cut and drill on site with standard tools, and standard production color is green with other colors on request

Do NOT size it fromSteel L / P / T load tables — FRP sizes, spans and loads are confirmed with your quotation, never read off a steel table

Ranges from the Hongfeng product catalog parameter tables. Exact model tables (SWL / weight per size) are sent with your quotation.

Load & installation conditions

FRP is a different material family from our steel systems, so it is not quoted off the steel load tables: send your width, span, cable load and environment, and the quotation states the section and wall build selected for that duty — in writing, before you commit.

Custom & supply

FRP lengths and molded fittings are bundled and protected for export in the same shipment. Because FRP is produced to the project schedule rather than pulled from steel stock, the quotation confirms the production slot together with the price.

Molded FRP fittings

FRP bends, tees, crosses and covers are molded in the same glass-fiber polyester as the straights, so a run never mixes materials at the joints — the whole route, fittings included, stays corrosion-proof and non-conductive. The fittings your layout needs are counted from your drawings and packed into the same shipment.

Where it is used

Chemical plants

Catalog typical application — corrosive process atmospheres where metal tray is on a countdown.

Wastewater & fertilizer areas

Corrosive atmospheres and washdowns that attack coatings and metal, not this material.

Coastal process areas

Salt-bearing process air where a non-metallic, insulating tray removes the corrosion question.

Not sized from steel tables

FRP is a different material family: section and wall build are selected for the duty and stated in the quotation — never read off an L / P / T table.

Frequently asked questions

What do I choose for a dry indoor environment?

Pre-galvanized (40 / 80 / 275 g/m²) or electro-galvanized (8–25 µm) is enough — with the known limit that cut-edge protection is thinner than the flat faces.

What do I choose for outdoor or coastal duty?

Hot-dip galvanized 45 / 65 / 85 µm (65–85 µm is the usual outdoor and coastal specification), or stainless 304 / 316, aluminum, or ZAM for photovoltaic, communications and railway projects.

What do I choose for chemical or wastewater atmospheres?

FRP (corrosion-proof, electrically insulating), stainless steel (grade per project specification) or polymer — and note that metal load tables do not transfer directly to FRP, so FRP selection is confirmed with your quotation.

How are color and cover matching decided?

FRP standard color is green, other colors on request; cover material match, MOQ and custom lead time are all confirmed with your quotation.
