Long-Span Cable Tray

Some routes cannot take a support every 1.5–2 metres: chemical-plant pipe racks, large factory corridors and crossings over plant roads. Long-span tray is built for exactly those runs — heavy ladder and trough sections in 3 m lengths, selected from load–span curves so the support spacing is wide, deliberate and documented instead of improvised on site.

Configure your variant

Pick a style, material and finish — the matching model rows highlight below, and your selection is written into the inquiry form at the bottom of the page (you can still edit it there).

Why buyers specify it

  • Built on the heavy end of our ladder (L) and trough (T) series — deeper rails, heavier gauges, stiffer sections
  • Catalog large-span configurations reach approx. 12 m support spans (catalog configuration data) — selection is always confirmed against the load–span curve for your loading
  • Standard section length 3 m: fewer joints, fewer couplers and faster erection on long straight runs
  • Load–span curves for the ladder series are prepared to DIN EN IEC 61537 and published in the catalog

Model table

No numeric span-to-load table is published on this page. The catalog load–span curves (ladder chapter p.015, prepared to DIN EN IEC 61537; perforated chapter p.054 and trunking chapter p.032 each carry a 2.0 mm / 100 mm high large-span curve) give configurations only — e.g. ladder 1.5 mm / 100 mm high large span, 1.5 mm / 150 mm high large span, 2.0 mm / 150 mm high large span, 2.5 mm / 200 mm high large span — with chart spans to approx. 9–12 m. This page does not read numbers off those charts. The large-span configuration claim “spans to approx. 12 m” is catalog configuration data; the section, gauge and support spacing for your loading are confirmed with your quotation.

Load & installation conditions

A long-span run is an engineering selection, not a catalogue pick: send the span between supports and the cable load per metre, and the quotation will state the section, gauge and support spacing selected from the DIN EN IEC 61537 load–span curves. No span-to-load numbers are read off the curve charts on this page — the curves give configurations (thickness × height × large span) and the quotation confirms the selection. If your span and load fall outside the published curves, we will say so before you order.

Custom & supply

Long sections are bundled straight and protected at the rail edges for export; splice plates are the heavy pattern matched to the section. Fittings for direction changes on long runs are made to the same gauge and finish and counted into the same shipment.

Long-span fittings

Heavy splice plates matched to the section, plus direction-change fittings in the same gauge and finish as the straights, counted into the same shipment. The catalog publishes no separate long-span fittings section; fittings follow the heavy ladder / trough sections they join.

Where it is used

Chemical pipe racks & large plant corridors

Long straight runs where support spacing is wide and deliberate.

Crossings over plant roads & obstacles

Spans where no intermediate support is possible between the two ends.

Power stations & substation heavy power routes

Deep-rail, heavy-gauge ladder sections carrying heavy power-cable bundles.

Long straight runs with fewer joints

3 m standard sections mean fewer joints and couplers and faster erection.

Frequently asked questions

How far can a long-span run actually span?

Catalog large-span configurations run to approx. 12 m (catalog configuration data). The span available to you depends on section, thickness and cable load, and is confirmed against the DIN EN IEC 61537 curves with your quotation.

Which section is used for long spans?

Heavy ladder (L) and trough (T) sections — deep rails, heavy gauges. The exact section is confirmed with your quotation.

What is the standard section length?

3 m standard; other lengths are confirmed with your quotation.

What about MOQ and custom lead time?

Both are confirmed with your quotation.
