Galvanized Cable Tray
The galvanized systems are our steel tray range — perforated, ladder, trough, wire mesh and strut channel — produced from mill-galvanized sheet, with the zinc coating weight chosen for the duty: 40, 80 or 275 g/m². It is the most widely used cable tray finish in the world for a reason: anti-corrosion protection and a low cost per metre for the indoor environments most trays actually serve.
Configure your variant
Pick a style, material and finish — the matching model rows highlight below, and your selection is written into the inquiry form at the bottom of the page (you can still edit it there).
Why buyers specify it
- Three catalog coating weights — 40 / 80 / 275 g/m²: pay for the zinc your environment needs, not a fixed spec
- Sheet is available with a visible zinc spangle or in the smoother spangle-free grade — same protection, cleaner face for visible runs
- Coating is applied at the steel mill before forming, so thickness is uniform across every length in the order
- Electro-galvanized (8–25 µm) is also produced for clean indoor duties where a bright, smooth surface matters most
Specifications
| Pre-galvanized coating | 40 / 80 / 275 g/m² (spangle or spangle-free sheet) |
|---|---|
| Electro-galvanized | Zinc layer typically 8–25 µm |
| Process | Coating applied at the steel mill before forming — uniform across every length, thinner at cut and bent edges |
| Use it where | Indoor and dry environments — building services, plant rooms, light industrial runs |
| Do NOT use it where | Outdoor, coastal or humid duty — cut and bent edges carry thinner protection; quote the same tray hot-dip galvanized instead |
| Trade-off | Lowest cost per metre and a smooth, bright face — bought with weaker edge protection than hot-dip galvanizing |

Load & installation conditions
One honest limit, stated before you order: because the sheet is galvanized before forming, edges created by cutting and bending carry thinner protection than the flat faces. That is why pre-galvanized is our indoor specification — for outdoor, coastal or humid duty we will quote the same tray hot-dip galvanized instead, and the quotation will say why.
Custom & supply
Galvanized systems are our regular production: standard sizes run continuously, and custom sizes are made to order on the same lines. Fittings, covers and splice hardware are supplied in the matching galvanized finish, counted and packed into the same shipment.
Fittings in matching galvanized finish
Bends, tees, crosses, reducers and covers for a galvanized order are produced from the same galvanized sheet family as the straights, so the finish reads as one run from end to end — no mixed coatings at the joints. The full fitting count from your BOQ is packed into the same shipment.
Where it is used
Dry indoor building services
Offices, malls and plant rooms — the economical standard where the air stays dry.
Light-industrial indoor runs
General indoor plant routes where cost per metre matters more than heavy corrosion duty.
Visible indoor runs
Spangle-free sheet gives a smoother, cleaner face where the tray stays visible.
Not for: outdoor, coastal or humid duty
Cut and bent edges carry thinner protection than the flat faces. For those environments the same tray is quoted hot-dip galvanized instead — see the Hot-Dip Galvanized guide.

Frequently asked questions
What do I choose for a dry indoor environment?
Pre-galvanized (40 / 80 / 275 g/m²) or electro-galvanized (8–25 µm) is enough — with the known limit that cut-edge protection is thinner than the flat faces.
What do I choose for outdoor or coastal duty?
Hot-dip galvanized 45 / 65 / 85 µm (65–85 µm is the usual outdoor and coastal specification), or stainless 304 / 316, aluminum, or ZAM for photovoltaic, communications and railway projects.
What do I choose for chemical or wastewater atmospheres?
FRP (corrosion-proof, electrically insulating), stainless steel (grade per project specification) or polymer — and note that metal load tables do not transfer directly to FRP, so FRP selection is confirmed with your quotation.
How are color and cover matching decided?
Powder-coat color is customizable per the catalog note; cover material match, MOQ and custom lead time are all confirmed with your quotation.
