Powder Coated Cable Tray

Our steel tray systems — perforated, ladder and solid-bottom trough — finished with an electrostatically applied epoxy resin powder coat on our own spray line. Powder coating is the finish buyers choose for buildings that face fire-service acceptance, for color-coded cable routes, and for interiors where the tray stays visible: residential and commercial buildings, factories, basements, and power and lighting installations.

Configure your variant

Pick a style, material and finish — the matching model rows highlight below, and your selection is written into the inquiry form at the bottom of the page (you can still edit it there).

Why buyers specify it

  • Epoxy resin powder, electrostatically sprayed and cured on our own spray line — the coating wraps edges and corners that liquid paint misses
  • The fire-rated build for acceptance projects: powder-coated tray is the standard specification where a project goes through fire-service inspection — buildings, basements, strong- and weak-current routes
  • Color is functional, not decoration: routes can be color-coded by system (power vs. data vs. fire alarm), and architectural colors keep exposed tray in order in finished interiors — custom colors from the catalog palette
  • A sealed barrier over the steel substrate: no zinc runoff staining, no white rust blooms on indoor runs, and a smooth surface that wipes clean in hospitals, malls and plant rooms

Trade-off & limitPowder coat is a finish, not a structure: sizes and SWL still follow the base steel system tables. Suitability for outdoor heavy-corrosion duty is not stated in the catalog — confirmed with your quotation

Ranges from the Hongfeng product catalog parameter tables. Exact model tables (SWL / weight per size) are sent with your quotation.

Load & installation conditions

The powder coat adds a finish, not a structural change: sizes and safe working loads follow the same catalog parameter tables as the base steel system, and the quotation cites the table row for the size quoted.

Custom & supply

Coated orders are sprayed to order so straights, fittings and covers come off the line in one color batch. If your project requires specific fire-performance documentation, confirm the requirement with us before material selection — we will tell you exactly which documents apply to the build quoted.

Fittings in the same coat

Every bend, tee, cross, reducer and cover for a powder-coated order goes through the same spray line in the same color batch as the straights — no galvanized fitting standing out in a coated run. Splice plates and small hardware are supplied finished to match, and the full count is packed into the same shipment.

Where it is used

Buildings & basements

Residential and commercial buildings, factories and basements facing fire-service acceptance.

Color-coded routes

Power vs. data vs. fire-alarm routes distinguished by color, and architectural colors for finished interiors.

Strong- & weak-current routes

Power and lighting installations where the tray stays visible and must read as finished work.

Not a structural upgrade

The coat adds a finish, not strength: sizes and SWL follow the base steel system tables, and outdoor heavy-corrosion suitability is confirmed with your quotation.

Frequently asked questions

What do I choose for a dry indoor environment?

Pre-galvanized (40 / 80 / 275 g/m²) or electro-galvanized (8–25 µm) is enough — with the known limit that cut-edge protection is thinner than the flat faces.

What do I choose for outdoor or coastal duty?

Hot-dip galvanized 45 / 65 / 85 µm (65–85 µm is the usual outdoor and coastal specification), or stainless 304 / 316, aluminum, or ZAM for photovoltaic, communications and railway projects.

What do I choose for chemical or wastewater atmospheres?

FRP (corrosion-proof, electrically insulating), stainless steel (grade per project specification) or polymer — and note that metal load tables do not transfer directly to FRP, so FRP selection is confirmed with your quotation.

How are color and cover matching decided?

Powder-coat color is customizable per the catalog note; cover material match, MOQ and custom lead time are all confirmed with your quotation.
